STREAM-0D attended the 1st Forum on Industrial Software
STREAM-0D partner Day One attended the 1st Forum on Industrial Software, that has been held in Milan, Italy, on the 6th of February. A good opportunity to keep up-to-date on the subject of OT-IT convergence.
‘Evolution of software technologies within industry 4.0’: this was the main topic of the 1st Forum on Industrial Software (Forum sul software industriale, https://forumsoftwareindustriale.it).
The event, organized by the Italian association ANIE Automazione in collaboration with Messe Frankfurt Italia, showcased vertical sessions on the use of industrial software within different application fields.
The forum turned out to be an occasion to compare two different point of views: the one from the companies who possess industrial key-enabling technologies and the ones coming from the IT world.
These two aspects are progressively moving the one towards the other within the paradigm of Industry 4.0. In fact, IT/OT convergence, analytics as well as virtualization, validation, simulation and AI are all essential elements in the implementation of digital transformation – not just in the industry sector.
The event, which took place in the national Museum of Science and Technology of Milan, featured more than 800 attendees and it is considered by the organizers a great success, testifying the growing interest in the subject.
Day One, STREAM-0D partner that participated to the event, had the opportunity to obtain first hand information from some of the most important software developers on the market regarding the state-of-the-art of software and its integration into the dynamics of the industrial process. The forum was also the occasion to get in touch with potential stakeholders.
